Sweet And Sour Orange Pork Chops

2 or more centre cut pork chops
3 small oranges
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 cup water
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon Heinz 57 sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese oyster sauce
1 to 2 tablespoons tomato sauce or ketchup
1 cup sliced onions
1 tablespoon mixed with 1/4 cup water
1/2 cup chopped green onions

Cut pork chops into 6 pieces. Cut 1 orange into slices. Cut the fruit to separate from the rind. Cut the orange fruit into small pieces. Squeeze the other 2 oranges to get about 1/2 a cup of orange juice.

Preheat a wok or pan at medium heat. Add cooking oil and then add ginger and garlic. Briefly stir fry and push ginger garlic to the outer edge of the wok. Grill the pork chop pieces until they are cooked about 1/2 way through. Add sesame oil and salt to the pork chops. Put the pork chops on a plate while you make the sauce.

To make sauce:

Keep the wok at medium heat. Add water. Add orange juice. Then add Heinz 57 sauce, Chinese oyster sauce, tomato sauce and light soy sauce. Bring sauce to a boil. Add cornstarch water solution to thicken the sauce. Add pork chop pieces back into the sauce and simmer for a few minutes. Just before serving, add green onions and mix in with the pork chops. Serve pork chops on a nice plate. Enjoy!
