Chinese Style Pork Back Ribs are simple and easy to make. Cooked in a slow cooker for fall of the bone tasty and delicious ribs. Using traditional Chinese ingredients like ginger, sesame oil and soy sauce. The recipe is below:

Slow Cooked Chinese Pork Back Ribs

Recipe for 3 servings

12 pork back ribs
8 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons ginger
1 1/2 fermented black beans
1 to 3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 teaspoons dark soy sauce
3 teaspoons light soy sauce
2 teaspoons oyster flavoured sauce

This recipe is for a slow cooker. You can use a regular pot as well. For a regular pot, you may need to add more water and keep on eye on the water from drying up.

Clean the ribs with cold water. Boil a pot of water and pour over both sides of the ribs to get rid of impurities and some of the fat. Cut the ribs into pieces of 2 ribs.

Put the ribs into the slow cooker with the garlic, ginger, fermented black beans and brown sugar. You add more or less sugar depending on how sweet you want the sauce. You can leave out the sugar if you don't want sweet taste in the sauce.

In a bowl put the salt, sesame oil, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and oyster sauce in. Mix well and then pour over the ribs in the slow cooker. Coat the ribs using a ladle. cover the slow cooker with a lid. Simmer the ribs for 3 hours at the high setting and 2 1/2 hours at the low setting. You can cook the ribs for longer or shorter time, depending how tender you want the ribs.

Serve on rice or noodles. Each serving will have 2 pieces of 2 ribs. Put a little sauce with the ribs. Enjoy!
