Sizzling Chinese Chicken Wings. You heat up the hot plate so the chicken wings will sizzle. These chicken wings are tasty and easy to make. You can stir fry these chicken wings and just serve on a regular plate if you like. But the sizzling will impress your family and friends. Recipe is below:
Sizzling Chinese Chicken Wings
2 lbs. chicken wings
3 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons ginger and garlic
1/2 cup sliced onions
1/2 cup sliced orange pepper
1/2 cup sliced green pepper
1/2 cup sliced red pepper
1 cup water
1 or more tablespoon sugar
1 or more tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese oyster sauce
1 tablespoon HP Sauce or other
2 tablespoon tomato sauce or ketchup
1 tablespoon Chinese chili sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch in 1/4 cup water
1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Boil chicken wings for 5 minutes to get rid of the blood and impurities. Rinse chicken wings in cold water and strain.
Preheat pan at medium heat. Add cooking oil. Then add ginger, garlic and onions. Briefly stir fry. Turn heat setting to high. Add chicken wings and continue to stir fry. Add orange pepper, green pepper and red pepper. Briefly stir fry. Add the 1 cup water. Add
light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, vinegar, HP sauce, tomato sauce, and Chinese chili sauce (optional). Add cornstarch water solution to thicken sauce. Add more cornstarch water solution for thicker sauce. Do final stir fry.
If you have a hot plate or iron plate, heat on the stove top or in an oven. Heat the hot plate for about 20 minutes. Be careful with the hot plate because it is hot after heating.
Serve the chicken on the hot plate to get the sizzling effect. Serve the chicken wings just before eating. Enjoy!
