11月丽江的纳西人家,开始陆续杀年猪了,今年挪了个时间来蹭饭,嘿,那个烤五花肉真的绝了……还亲手做了糯米血肠,看着生猛,吃起来倒还挺独特的,米香猪油香混合一体。用石碓舂了饵块、吃了一顿丰盛的年猪饭,还跳了一场酣畅淋漓的打歌,穿上纳西羊毛褂和七星披肩,我当了一天纳西姑娘。

In November, Naxi people in Lijiang are starting their annual pig feast event. I took some time to join their meal this year and the roasted marbled pork is just perfect. I also made glutinous rice stuffed sausages myself. Though the process seems a bit daunting, the taste is indeed unique with a well-mixed fragrance of rice and lard. I also pounded erkuai with a stone pestle, enjoyed a hearty annual pig feast, and joined in a delightful singing and dancing celebration. I acted like a Naxi lady that day by putting on a Naxi woolen vest and a traditional tippet with the pattern of seven stars.
