Easy simple recipe for Chinese Steamed Lemon Chicken. This chicken is delicious with the salted lemons. The steam from cooking the chicken creates a delicious juices with the added flavor of ginger, garlic, lemon, sesame oil and other ingredients. This recipe used a free range chicken with its firm and chewy meat. You can also use a regular chicken for this delicious and tasty recipe. The recipe is below|:

Chinese Steamed Lemon Chicken (Bone-In Recipe)

1 free range chicken (or other chicken can be used)
3 to 4 tablespoons chopped ginger
2 to 3 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chicken soup base
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sesame oil
6 Chinese dried mushrooms (soak at least 1 hour and slice)
2 to 3 salted Vietnamese lemons sliced

Cut chicken into large pieces. Start by cutting off chicken wings,
thigh, drumsticks. Cut the white breast meat cross wise. The breast meat can be can again in half if you like. See video for cutting tips.

Put chicken pieces in a large bowl or pan. Add the ingredients and mix in with the chicken. For fancy lay-out of the chicken, see the video.

Bring a pan of water to a boil. Put pan of chicken in and cover with a lid. Steam chicken for 30 minutes or longer until cooked. After 20 minutes, spoon some of the juices over the chicken to add more flavor to the chicken. Cover with the lid again and steam for the last 10 minutes. Serve with hot steamed rice.Be sure to spoon some of the delicious juices onto your rice. Enjoy!
