After being told by an Elder of my CHurch that Angels don't have wings and "we" (Adventist Christians) don't do "Imaginary Creatures" I was horrified at this denial of the facts written in the Bible. Where, I might add, even if it IS metaphorical, God himself is declared as protecting you in his feathers and wrapping his wings around you to keep you safe. I lost my most precious friends for A) Arguing with an Elder B) Defending myself and quoting the Bible and C) Building two PHPBB3 SQL backed Forums for Adventists in Oxford and Banbury U.K. Yes... I even had women from the church screaming at me down the phone for 5 hours in one session because I had not asked the permission of the heads of church before I used the words ADVENTIST on a forum for people to be able to talk WITH one another instead of continually get talked DOWN to. TO not WITH.
So... conflicts all around me always but as per usual only with subintellectuals.
