今年暑假籃網補強大有斬獲，先後找來D'Angelo Russell跟Demar Carroll，雙D連線都是兩位先發級好手，身為一哥的林書豪，不但不擔心Russell的到來會出現排擠效應，還更加期待新球季的到來。
畢竟豪小子已經在聯盟中打滾7年，早已非昔日吳下阿蒙，但是親眼看到夏季聯賽，還是會回憶起當年點滴，也多虧豪小子前人種樹，今年小牛的學弟丁彥雨航，甚至可以獲得球迷起立歡呼的高級待遇。
