金鶯跟老虎系列來到第三場，老虎當然要全力避免被橫掃，派出賽揚強投David Price先發，而他也不負所託，前面五局Price讓金鶯打線沒攻下任何分數。
但是金鶯先發Bud Norris的投球，也是沒話說，主投6.1局沒丟掉分數，加上Nelson Cruz六局上掃出關鍵的兩分砲，靠著美聯全壘打王帶領，終場金鶯用3比2拿下勝利，闖進美聯冠軍賽同時，也讓老虎嚐到一百多年來第一次的橫掃經驗。
