I'm not exactly sure about the meaning of "狂草 (kuáng cǎo)" in the context of this song, so I looked it up and well, this is the best I can make of it. 狂草 is a style of Chinese calligraphy (see an example here: http://pica.nipic.com/2008-07-21/2008721151713122_2.jpg). It's a pretty unrestrained style, with the lines curving and words connecting together. I assume the freedom with which the calligrapher writes and the passionate emotions that he or she puts into the words is what HanGeng is trying to capture and use symbolically in this song. Or...something like that? That's just what I think though.

Aw darn... typo in the pinyin at 0:31 "Qi pian ZHI zao shang hai" sorry!

Any subscribers that have been with me for a while know that I'm a big Geng fan, and so I'm really excited for his 2nd album. Unfortunately, I will be away for the next month and a half, so this will probably be my last upload for about two months. I also will not be home when his album is released, but hopefully I will be able to sub some of his new songs when I return.
