►剧情简介：
腐朽僵化的清王朝，科举考试形同儿戏，官场同年勾结营党，庙堂之上难以找到几个敢为天下先，愿为黎首请命的好官。家住绍兴府的方敬斋（陈道明 饰）自幼饱读诗书，出口成章，而忠义清廉的狷介性格也使得他不愿和官场权贵沆瀣一气，为保一身清白不惜撞得头破血流。无奈造物弄人，方与偶然结识的书生董瑞（方子哥 饰）一同上京赶考，谁知满腹经纶偏偏明珠暗投，反倒是颟顸庸碌的董瑞榜上有名。在此之后，方敬斋当起了董瑞的师爷，帮助好友出谋划策。
　　只是在如酱缸一般的官场，他和好友渐行渐远，方敬斋所走的路必然是清冷而孤独的一条难路。

►Synopsis：
Master of Shaoxing narrateds the legendary life of Fang Jingzhai, a private advisor in Shaoxing, Shi Ye named Fang Jingzhai, who is a righteous just, and intelligent man, as well as the personalities characters and behaviors of a group of Shaoxing Shi Yeother private advisors around him. This vivid story exemplifiesand hintedreflects the abnormal queer social phenomena in the late Qing Dynasty.
