►剧情简介：1905年废科举，吴世泽满怀失落焚毁所有书笔纸张。萍水相逢的曹云婵救助了重病卧床的吴世泽。吴世泽在危难之际奋不顾身，解救遭曹家陷害被土匪绑架的曹云婵，二人喜结连理。武昌起义改变了曹、吴两家的境遇。北洋军阀连年混战，宣城纸业的生产日渐凋敝。随着抗战爆发，曹、吴、胡、汪、诸葛几个在宣城举足轻重的家族的命运又被紧紧联系在一起。吴家长子吴舜仁与汪家长子汪斌走上两条不同道路。吴舜仁加入地下党，汪斌加入国民党，二人最终势成水火举枪相向。胡亦书堕落为日伪走狗陷害友人。抗战胜利前夕，曹云鹤为掩护吴世泽与日军大佐同归于尽，彰显民族气节。解放战争中吴舜仁加入解放军南征北战，功勋卓著。解放后舜仁随军南下。吴世泽送走相伴一生的曹云婵蓦然慨叹人生之沧桑。

►Synopsis：The play is set in Xuancheng, Anhui, the "hometown of China's four treasures of the study", and the "Hui culture" and "Hui merchants". It takes the grievances and hatreds of the "six major families" in Xuancheng's writing brush, ink, paper and inkstone industries as clues. It depicts from multiple angles and in a three-dimensional manner the touching story of cultural Hui merchants, study artists and patriotic patriots who fought wits and courage with bureaucrats, Japanese invaders, traitors and the Military Control Commission to inherit and protect the treasures of China's traditional culture from the late Qing Dynasty to the founding of New China.
