Today, I'm meeting up with my buddy Simon as he takes us for a street food tour deep in the back alleyways of Tokyo, Japan, to taste some delicious Japanese street food. We had 4 amazing street foods in one night of eating.
First, we started off with some amazing Japanese BBQ Yakitori and a delicious Beef Offal Stew. Both were very delicious.
After exploring through the alleys looking for more street food, we found a couple delicious different types of dumplings. The first, was actually a little similar to the famous Chinese street food Shengjianbao pan fried soup buns. The second was a classic Japanese dumpling, the pork and cabbage gyoza.
After this, we were almost full, but needed to eat some delicious Sushi in Japan, so Simon brought us to eat some standing Sushi. All of this street food in Tokyo was amazing!
Here are the addresses for the street food we found and the Japanese restaurants that we ate at.
1) Amazing Japanese BBQ Yakitori: Found in Harmonica Alley in Kichijoji
2) Delicious pan fried buns filled with soup:
上海焼き小籠包 吉祥寺本店
3) Tasty Japanese classic Gyoza: Found at Min Min restaurant in harmonica alley.
4) Amazing Sushi in Tokyo was found right beside Nishi Ogikubo station, restaurant was called Nigi Nigi. We ate a lot of fresh sushi with delicious seafood on top of vinegar rice, known as nigiri. It was fantastic!
