1985 film - a court room drama about the killing of a young rich guy by an old prostitute. Andy plays a freshly out of law school lawyer full of idealism. He defends the woman because nobody else would take the case. It turns out the woman (played by Deannie Yip) is his biological mom and has provided financial supports to him over the years.

This is an early example of the collaborations between Andy and Deannie, who demonstrated incredible screen chemistry in the 1982 TVB series "The Emissary"(猎鹰).
They have been in several films together playing mother/son (or similar relationships) throughout the years, including the recent critically acclaimed "A Simple Life" (桃姐).

Having been in the show biz for over 30 years, Andy has made over 100 movies. Each decade has its representative ones. I would choose this one as the one for "early" 80s. Young, refreshing, handsome and "full of integrity", Andy is the perfect choice for this role.
